I believe that our most profound growth often comes from the moments when we feel the most unsettled. My own path to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) has been a colorful tapestry of experiences that have shaped my heart and my practice. Before I dedicated my life to clinical healing, I spent years as a storyteller in journalism and public relations. My life has taken me across eight different states and even across the ocean to live in beautiful Bermuda while working at the U.S. Consulate.

Having navigated a dozen moves and a complete career transformation, I have a deep, personal understanding of what it feels like to stand at a crossroads. I know the quiet anxiety of starting over, and I have learned how to transform that uncertainty into a beautiful new beginning.

Steady Support in Tender Moments

In addition to my private practice, I serve as a compassionate voice for those in their most vulnerable moments as a crisis responder for the National Suicide Prevention Line (988), specifically for the VA's Veterans and Military Crisis Line (988, press 1). This work has taught me the incredible resilience of the human spirit. It has shown me that no matter how heavy the burden feels, there is always a path back to peace.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of walking alongside a truly diverse group of people—from mothers and children finding their way through homelessness to professionals navigating the pressures of high-stakes careers. I have learned that regardless of our background, we all share a fundamental need: to be seen, to be heard, and to feel safe enough to heal.

My Philosophy: Nurturing the Mind, Body, and Spirit

I don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy; I use an eclectic approach using the tried-and-true treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, and ACT, focusing on the problem with solution-focused and task-oriented goals around the person. Each person and situation is unique, and so should your treatment. True wellness is about more than just talking; it is about soothing the nervous system and honoring the connection between the mind and the body. My practice is a sanctuary where clinical social work meets the gentle power of holistic healing.

I specialize in:

Healing through Transitions: Whether you're going through a simple micro adjustment to a life-changing major transition (like becoming an empty nester, going through a separation or divorce, or seeking a career shift), I can help you break down the often insurmountable feelings of change through realistic action steps to improve the quality of your life. Let. me help you find your footing when life feels like it’s shifting beneath you.

Addiction & Recovery: As a family member and friend of loved ones who have struggled with alcohol and substances, I have first-hand experience with the world of addiction. With specialized certificates in addiction and experience as an outpatient treatment counselor, I provide a non-judgmental, supportive space and guidance to take the necessary steps to heal from dependency and reclaim control in your life.

• Holistic Restoration: As a certified life coach, Reiki master, and yoga Nidra practitioner, I incorporate holistic, evidence-based modalities of mindfulness, meditation, aromatherapy, sound healing and nature that help regulate your nervous system. These tools are designed to help your body remember how to relax, moving you out of a state of "high alert" and into a space of calm and clarity.

What Our Time Together Will Look Like

When you decide to work with me, you are entering a space of warmth and genuine connection and compassion. I am here to hold a lantern for you as we navigate the shadows together. My style is collaborative and nurturing; I am not just a clinician, but a partner in your wellness journey to balance your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual sections.

I believe in the power of "small comforts" to facilitate big changes. By integrating nervous-system-focused positive coping skills, we work to quiet the noise of the world so you can hear your own inner wisdom again. My goal is to help you build a life that feels stable, grounded, balanced and deeply aligned with who you truly are.

A Heart for All Living Things

My passion for healing extends beyond the therapy room and into my home and community. Married to my husband for 15 years and counting, we share our lives with a wonderful family of rescue pets: two dogs and numerous cats. We have rescued several cats and kittens to find them new homes, and at times, are foster fails. I also volunteer my time with nonprofits and at events to help others find their inner peace during difficult times. You will often see me picking up litter in my neighborhood and especially on the beach to help protect our fragile environment.

I believe that every living being has the capacity for renewal. Whether I am fostering a kitten or supporting a client through a life-changing transition, my mission is the same: to provide the care, patience, and environment necessary for a beautiful transformation to take place.
